Real Wedding: Tash and Amy.

Tash and Amy met while working in the wedding industry. Bombarded by inspiration at every turn, it’s no wonder they created a day that reflected their relationship to a tee.

As with many couples, Tash and Amy were forced to postpone their wedding. Eventually getting married on their 4th booked date! In the 15 or so months between dates, it would have been easy to get distracted from their original vision. After days in lockdown scrolling through Pinterest, the temptation to be swayed by features and trends were strong.

Their Advice To Others

The couple ensured they didn’t get carried away making changes while they patiently waited for their day. Their advice to others planning a wedding…

‘Make a list of things that are really important to you both as a couple. Sometimes wedding planning can get so out of hand, and there are so many options out there. You just need to come back to your list and remember what is most important to you both’.

The venue the couple chose to host their wedding, The Great Tythe Barn in Tetbury, is the perfect mix of sympathetically restored original features such as exposed stone walls & wooden oak beams, as well as a blank canvas that allowed for the decor choices to really reflect Tash and Amy’s style. From metres of pink tassel garlands and foliage accents to a disco ball DJ booth, it’s evident that the couple were keen to celebrate in style.

‘We had 55 guests on the day and then a nice big party of 160 in the evening. For us, one of the best things about our day was definitely seeing all of our friends and family in one place together. Between postponing our wedding 3 times, and covid restrictions, we hadn’t managed to see a lot of our friends or family before this day, so just being able to have everyone together filled the day with so much love & joy.’

Why they used a Wedding Website

Between wedding dates Tash and Amy knew it was imperative that they kept guests updated with their plans as 2021 was bound to be a bumper year for everyone’s diary with postponed events.

‘After working in the wedding industry we just knew that having a Wedding Website would make our lives so much easier to communicate with our guests. Especially during the pandemic; we had to make so many changes to our plans and dates, being able to contact everyone from one place helped us massively and meant guests could keep abreast of plans easily.’
